review Flight author R.G. Grant R.G. Grant ´ 3 read Flight author R.G. Grant review ↠ 3 The jet age Flight is a gripping narrative of humankind's uest to conuer the skies and explore space Loaded with spectacular full color photographs dramatic first hand accounts and fact filled profiles on a huge range of aircraft this is an enthralling account of a century of innovation and adventu. If you want to read just one book about the history of aviation this is the one to choose It keeps the fine balance between technical details and stories of great airmen and women and their feats dedicates several chapters to the early aeroplanes absolutely amazing both because now they are almost completely forgotten and because they were so different from what the final concept of aircraft turned out to be throws in a brief recap of space exploration and perhaps most fascinating tells the story of how air travel appeared after WW1 and changed through the yearsThe only drawback would probably that the history of non Western aircraft after WW2 is rather short compared to other parts but that s really a small complaint
